How to install
- Open the official download page using the button on this page. Choose your operating system and review the publisher’s current system requirements.
- On Windows, download the installer that matches your computer and follow its setup prompts. On macOS, choose Intel or Apple Silicon where offered, open the disk image and follow its instructions.
- On Linux, follow the publisher’s distribution or package instructions. The correct method varies by distribution; a Windows installer will not work on Linux.
- Launch the application and try a small file first. Keep project files and original media in a folder you can find again.
Your first useful task
Start with a small project, save a .blend file and follow the official getting-started documentation. For video work, choose the Video Editing workspace and test a short export first.
Before you choose
Choose Blender for a workflow that includes 3D creation. The interface takes practice; for a basic clip-editing project, compare it with Shotcut before committing.
Free software still takes time to learn. Work on a copy of important files and review the result before replacing the original. GetFree4U does not bundle an installer or change the publisher’s software.

Which version should I choose?
